Chiisai 10.5. Hamburg, Deutsch

Ensimmäinen conini Suomen ulkopuolella. Ja se oli upea! (cossi Itachi Narutosta) Vaikka tapahtuma oli pieni, oli se silti mukava. Kyse oli enemmänkin animemiitistä kuin conista. Melkein kaikki tunsivat toisensa jatunnelma oli lämmin. Näin monien ihmisten halaavan toisiaan kun he näkivät jonkun jonka tunsivat. Muutama ihminen halasi myös minuakin, vaikka emme tunteneet.

Siellä oli monia samanlaisia asioita mitä meillä täällä on, mutta myös erilaisia tottakai. Ensinnäkin ilmapiiri, mutta se johtui toisilleen tutuista ihmisistä. Mutta Suomessa me ei tunneta toisia harrastajia ihan yhtä hyvin. Tottakai coneissa on kavereita, mutta ei samalla tavalla. Me emme myöskään halaile niin paljon, mikä oli kiva yllätys Chiisaissa. Jokainen ei-tuttu ihminenkin ansaitsi halin. Ei pelkästään tutut ja "halaa minua"-tyypit.

Jos mietit millainen coni täällä Suomessa vastaisi lähinnä Chiisaita, voisin sanoa, että Chibicon olisi ehkä lähin. Pieni coni jossa käy yleensä lähellä asuvat harrastajat. Chiisaissakin kävijöitä oli 500.

Sisälle meno maksoi minulle 5€ ja kun palautin vip korttini, sain sen takaisin. Sain myös suklaan kiitokseksi siitä, että palautin kortin ja koska olin töissä conissa (vaikken oikeastaan tehnytkään mitään, anteeksi ;_;) Kävijöille con maksoi 5€, mutta he eivät saaneet summaa takaisin. Yllätys?

Kun olit maksanut itsesi sisään, sait ilmaiset ruuat ja juomat. Suomessa coneissa on ilmaista vettä, Chiisaissa ilmaista kakkua (kaikilla pöydillä oli suklaakakkua) ilmaista limsaa, mehua, jääteetä, lettuja ja lisää kakkua. Tämä oli uutta minulle, mutta todella hieno idea. Sinun piti myös maksaa 1€ Chiisain tekstillä ja logolla varustetusta mukista ja kun palautit mukin, sait euron takaisin. Itse en mukiani koskaan palauttanut (olen pahis) ja nyt minulla on kaksi mukia. (koska TenshiSama antoi omansa minulle)

Narikan sijasta käytävällä oli hyllykkö, johon tavarat pystyi jättämään.

Chiisaissa ei ollut narikkaa, joten jos halusit jättää tavarasi jonnekin, teit sen omalla vastuullasi. Siellä oli vain hylly mihin tavarat pystyi pistämään. Työntekijöillä oli oma huone jossa pystyi syömään ja oleskelemaan (Greenroom siis) sekä laittamaan tavarat. Mutta se oli niin täynnä, ettei omat tavarani mahtuneet enää. Onneksi minulta ei viety mitään.

Melkein kaikilla oli ostopuvut yllään ja vain muutama oli tehnyt pukunsa itse. Ja nyt en tarkoita kaappicosseja vaan kankasta itse väkertämällä tehtyjä cosseja. Se oli hyvin outoa, koska olen Suomessa tottunut siihen, että melkein kaikki yrittävät tehdä pukunsa itse, vaikkeivat tietäisikään puvun teosta mitään. Olin todella iloinen kun huomasin, että joku oli yrittänyt tehdä pukunsa itse. Siitä huolimatta, näin paljon upeita pukuja!

My first con outside of Finland. And it was great! (cosplay was Itachi from Naruto) Even though it was small, it was really nice con. It is actually more like anime meeting than con. Almost everyone knows each other and atmosphere was warm. I saw many people hugging each others, when they see someone who they knew. Couple people even hugged me too, even though we didn't know each other.

There was many similar things what we have in here, but also different things of course. First one is atmosphere, but it came because those peoples know each other. But in Finland we don't really know other anime enthusiasts in here. Of course we have also friends in cons, but not like that. We don't also hug that much, which was nice suprise  in Chiisai. Every well-known person deservers hug. In here it is not that simply. Usually only friends deserves hugs (and those "hug me"- guys)

If you are wondering, what kind of con this is if we think Finland's con's, I can say, that maybe Chibicon is the most closest con like this. It is small and there is usually only those anime enthusiasts who live close. Because Chiisai may only have 500 visitors and it is almost the same.

When I want to go in, it cost's 5€ for me, and when I returned my vip card, I got that 5€ back. I also got chocolate for thanks, that I returned that vip card and because I was one of the workers. (even thought I didn't really do nothing, sorry ;_;) For visitors it costs 5€, but they didn’t got that back. Surprise?

When you paid yourself in, you get free food and drink. In Finland almost every con has free water, but Chiisai has free cake (all over the tables), free lemonade, juice, ice tea, pancakes and more cake. This was new for me but it was really great idea. Also you had to pay 1 euro that you get Chiisai mug. When you returned the mug, you got your 1 euro back.  I didn't returned my mug, so now I have my own Chiisai mug x 2. (because TenshiSama didn't return her mug also, and she gave that mug to me)


In Chiisai, there wasn't coat rack, so if you wanted to leave you back bags somewhere, you did it at your own risk. There was only shelf where you can put your stuffs. Workers have own room where they could eat and chill (we calls those rooms Greenrooms) and put they stuff. But it was so full, that I couldn't put my staffs there. Luckily no-one didn't steal anything from me.

Almost everyone has store cosplays and only few peoples has done their costumes by them self. And right now I don't mean closet cosplays (that you find some clothes and modify those little) I mean that, when you buy fabrics, make fabric patterns and sew the costume. There was only few peoples who has done that. It was really weird, because in Finland usually everyone tries to make cosplay by them selves. Of course some peoples buy their cosplays, but still usually we try to make those. Even though we don't know how. I was really happy when I saw, that someone has made the cosplays by themselves. Still there was lots of cool cosplays and other costumes!

Kuka on ihmissusi? Kuka ansaitsee kuolla? / Who's the werewolf? Who deservers to die?

Yleensä meidän conit alkavat kymmeneltä, mutta Chiisai alkoi 15:00. Se oli outoa. Olimme siellä johonkin 1-2 yöllä. Ja kun meillä conit yleensä sulkevat ovensa 20:00 (jollei iltabileitä lasketa) mutta tämä con sulki ovensa 12:00. Ja jos olit vip, sait jäädä vaikka pelaamaan ihmissutta, katsomaan animea, hengaamaan tai nukkumaan. Chiisailla oli myös lattiamajoitus kuten meidän coneissa, erotuksena vain se, että nukkujat majoittuivat samoissa tiloissa kuin hengailijat. En ole koskaan ollut niin myöhään conissa! (paitsi omassani ja noissa yli yön coneissa, mutta emme laske niitä nyt) Viimeiset kävijät pelasivat ihmissutta johonkin 5-6:een aamulla.

Tapahtumassa oli vain muutama ohjelma, koska con oli enemmänkin ystävien tapaamista ja hengailua varten järjestetty. Minulle se oli ok, koska yleensä muutenkin vain hengailen coneissa, enkä olisi ohjelmista mitään ymmärtänyt muutenkaan koska saksankieli.

Usually our con's starts at 10am, but Chiisai started at 3 pm. It was weird to me. We was there somewhere between 1pm and 2pm. And when our con's usually shut their doors at 8pm (and night parties something like 12pm) this con shut their doors 12pm. And if you was vip, you could stay and play some werewolf, watch anime or go to sleep. Chiisai has also floor accommodation like our con's usually have also. I haven't ever been so late in con! (except my own and those over nightcons, but we don't count those right now) The last visitors played werewolf somewhere 5am-6am.

There was only few programs, because con was more "we are going to meet our friends and hanging out"-convention. For me it was ok, because I usually only hanging out at cons and I wouldn't understand anything though.

Silti olin muutamassa ohjelmassa: animetietokisassa, (ystäväni TenshiSama ja hänen poikakaverinsa pitivät tuon) huutokaupassa ja cosplaykisassa. Huutokauppa oli hieno idea. Huutokauppaa oli hauska katsoa ja ostin Yoshi pehmon mukaan miehelleni, alushameen sekä Cocacola pyyhkeen kaverilleni.

Koska sää oli huono - satoi koko ajan - kaikki olivat sisällä. Ennen conin alkua cosplayereita oli ulkona conin vieressä olevalla leikkikentällä.

Moni conittaja tunsi kaverini ja hänen poikakaverinsa (ja heidän ystävänsä) ja tulivat tämän takia kysymään, miksi kaverini puhui Englantia. Moni conittaja oli yllättynyt kaverini kertoessa, että tulin Suomesta enkä puhunut saksaa. Moni conittaja alkoi tuolloin puhua englantia, mutta jotkut olivat liian paniikissa puhuakseen minulle, jolloin TenshiSama toimi tulkkina. Olin kuitenkin todella iloinen aina, kun joku tuli luokseni puhumaan englantia. Kerran jopa Greenroomissa eräs lehmätyttö (kyllä, hänen pukunsa oli lehmä) sanoi kaikille, että heidän pitäisi puhua englantia, jotta ymmärtäisin mistä puhutaan. Se oli niin suloista ja tunsin itseni spesiaaliksi.

Chiisaissa oli myös yksi henkilö, joka oli ollut Desuconissa 2011. Se tuli yllätyksenä ja puhuimme suht. kauan Desuconista. Hän haluaa kuulemma tulla joku päivä takaisin ja mennä ehkä Traconiin silloin. Oli mukava kuulla, että joku tiesi jotakin Suomalaisesta cosplaykulttuurista.

Cosplaykisa oli myös hieman erilainen kuin meidän. Kaikki olivat tervetulleita kisaamaan, jopa nuo ostopuvut. Sinun ei täytynyt ilmoittautua päiviä etukäteen, vain pari tuntia ennen. Esitystä ei tarvinnut tehdä, 3 posea riitti. Menit vain lavalle ja sanoit: "Hei, olen herra Y sarjasta Kyllä te kaikki tämän tiedätte. Näytän nyt teille jotakin, mitä tämä hahmo yleensä tekee." Ja sitten teit kolme posea. Tai pienen esityksen jos halusit.

TenshiSama - Konan, Minato - Toby, Me as Itachi

Still I was in three programs: animequiz (my friend TenshiSama and her boyfriend did that) auction (I needed translator then) and cosplay competition. Auction was cool idea. We usually have anime second hand stores in cons and it was fun to watch this. I also bought Yoshi plushie to my husband, petticoat and Cocacola towel to my friend.

Because weather was bad - raining all the time- everyone was inside. Before con started, there was cosplayers outside the next of the con building, on the children's playground.

Because many visitor's knew my friend and her boyfriend (and theirs friend) they came to ask, why my friend speaks English. Other visitors were surprised when my friends told them, that I was from Finland and I didn't speak German. Most of the visitors started to talk english with me, but someone’s feel little bit afraid to speak English with me, so sometimes TenshiSama was my translator. I was very happy when someone came to me and spoke some English. Even once at the Greenroom one cow lady (yes, her costume was a cow) said everyone, that they should talk English so I can understand too what they are talking about. It was so sweet and I felt so special.

There was even one person who has been in Desucon 2011. It was really surprise to me and he talk to me kind of long time about Desucon. He wants to come back someday and maybe go to the Tracon that time. It was so nice to hear, that there was someone who knew something about Finnish cosplay culture.

Cosplay competition was also different than ours. Everyone was welcome to join, even those store cosplays what you didn't make yourself. You didn't have to sing up days earlier, only couple hours before. You didn't have to make show, only 3 poses will do. You go to the stage and say: "Hello, I am mister X from the Anime You all know this. I'm going to show you something, what this character usually does." And then you make those poses. Or tiny show, if you wanted.

Ja koska olen idiootti, halusin musiikin. Ja sain musiikin. Väärän musiikin, koska sain tämän ja halusin tämän. Minun mokani, koska muistin nimen väärin. Silti tein pienen itsepuolustus esityksen TenshiSaman kunailla ja potku/lyönti komboilla. Kenkäni menivät melkein rikki, joten oli todella hankala potkia. Silti, olin ensimmäinen! Mitä taikuutta tämä oikein on?!

Esityksen jälkeen oli kiva kuulla tuomareiden mielipiteitä. He kertoivat paljon enemmän yksityiskohtia kuin mihin olen tottunut Suomessa. Yleensä olen saanut ympäroyöreän "hyvä esitys, hahmouskollinen, hyvä ompelujälki." Itse asiassa tiesin tällä kertaa mitä tein oikein ja minusta jopa tuntui, etten ehkä olekaan niin huono cosplayaaja mitä itsestäni ajattelen.

Ja mikä on hauskin juttu - varoitan jo nyt, tämä tulee koskemaan tulevaisuuden coniani, joten jos vihaat sitä jo nyt, lopeta lukeminen - me saimme ystävyysconin! ~^ω^~ Chiisai on uusi ystävyys conimme! Olemme tekemässä muutaman hienon jutun tämän pohjalta, mutta en kerro vielä mitä. Se on yllätys. Saimme myös kunniavieraan jo coniimme. Oli itse asiassa suuri yllätys kun neiti (ou nou, nyt tiedänne, että hän on nainen!) kertoi, että hän haluaisi tulla coniimme jos hän vain olisi tervetullut. Ja tottakai sanoin, että hän on tervetullut ja otamme mielellämme hänet kunniavieraaksi. Uskoisin, että hämmästys oli tuolloin molemminpuolinen.

Tässä mitä voitin / Here is what I won.

Because I am an idiot, I wanted music. And I got music. Wrong music, because I got this and I wanted this. My bad, because I remembered the name wrong. Still I made small martial art show with TensiSama's kunais and kick/punch combos. My shoes almost went broke, so it was really hard to kick. But still, I was 1th! What kind of sorcery is this?!

After that was really nice to hear judges opinions. Their told much more details about the cosplay than in Finland. Usually in Finland judges said: "Good show, faithful of the character,
good sewing performance." Almost every single competition. I actually knew this time, what I did good and I felt, that maybe I am not that crap cosplayer what I think my self.

And what is the most funniest thing - I should warn you, this is about our future con, so if you hate it already, do not read this - we got friendcon! ~^ω^~ Chiisai is our new friendcon! We're going to make some cool things to our con because of this, but I don't tell yet what. It is surprise. We also got our guest of honor already. I was very surprised when she (oh no, now everyone will already know, that guest is a she!) told me, that she would like to come to our con if she is allowed to come. And I said sure, of course she can and we would be pleasant to ger her as our guest of honor. I think amazement was mutual.
